Here are some of my fave baking ingredients!

Organic Raw Coconut Sugar is such a fave of mine! It has a beautiful sweet and earthy taste! Rich in vitamins and minerals.

Make sure to buy PURE Maple Syrup – not the sugar free version – this is NOT maple syrup… Pure maple is again a powerhouse of nutrients!

Organic Cacao is a power house of nutrients! Rich in vitamins and minerals like magnesium and zinc!

Raw Organic Cane Sugar is nutrient dense and packed with minerals! A very simple swap out – stop buying the toxic white processed sugar and instead simply purchase raw and organic!

Most cooking chocolates have a shocking list of ingredients… This gorgeous dark block from Whittakers has a great list of ingredients and is dairy free! This is my go to cooking chocolate.

Wheat Flour is one product you should always buy organic… un-organic wheat is often sprayed up to 25 times before we eat it. Most people that believe they cannot have gluten are actually being effected by the spray and not the wheat itself. Simply buy organic white flour!

choose organic & un-processed where you can

There is actually nothing wrong with sugar in its raw organic natural form… the same with flour… we simply need to read the ingredient lists, look for organic and buy the brands that support health. The body digests natural foods from nature efficiently and will disperse the nutrients and use the energy, but the body cannot recognise processed foods, and added chemicals like un-natural preservatives and additives – consuming foods the body does not recognise creates an anti-inflammatory response – and this puts the body into fat storage mode instantly, slows digestion AND lowers our metabolism, not to mention filling the body with toxins which can be a pre-cursor to illness and disease.

Simply choose to fill your pantry with healthy natural whole-foods, that are as organic as possible :)

Enjoy our beautiful whole food baking and desserts – but remember, although we are swapping out ingredients to natural healthy ones, these are still full of calories… so allow for the extra calories by choosing lighter calorie meals – and save up for your slice of cake.

Learning to swap out ingredients means we can still enjoy DELICIOUS BAKING while maintaining optimal health!
